Re-RCT Procedure
1. Anesthesia: Re-RCT treatment starts under local anesthesia (L.A) using Articaine or Lignocaine.
2. Gutta-Percha Removal: Gutta-Percha is removed using D1, D2, D3 rotary instruments from Dentsply Melifer and GP solvent.
3. Canal Length Measurement: Canal length is measured with a no. 10 K-File and Canal-Pro Apex Locator (Coltene).
4. Canal Shaping: Canals are shaped and cleaned using F1, F2, F3, F4, F5 instruments (BMP).
5. Canal Irrigation: Canals are irrigated with 2% Chlorhexidine Digluconate, and Endo-Activator (DENTSPLY) is used after every instrument.
6. Drying the Canals: Canals are dried with paper points corresponding last instrument used for shaping of canals.
7. Obturation: Bioroot sealer from Septodent is placed in canals and final packing of canals is done with Gutta Percha (Dentsply) F3 F4 F5 or flowable GP used to seal the canals by backfill
8. Temporary Restoration: A temporary restoration is placed over the sealed canal.
9. Final Restoration: A final restoration is placed to complete the treatment.
10. Impression is made after crown preparation than PMF or Zirconia crown is given
This procedure aims to re-treat a previously root canal treated tooth, ensuring thorough cleaning, shaping, and sealing of the canals and accessory canals.
